The Effect of Oral Health Implementation on Dental Caries and Dental Calculus

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the extent of oral health implementation by clients who visited a clinical practice lab in dental hygiene department to find out the difference in oral health behavior and the impact of oral health behavior on dental caries experience and dental calculus attachment. It¢¥s ultimately intended to bring a change to individual or public oral health behavior in an attempt to serve as a basis for better national oral health. The findings of this study were as follows
1. The most largely implemented oral health behavior was a toothbrushing before bedtime with 3.14.
2. 93.6% of the subjects had experienced dental caries, and there was no significant difference in dental caries experience between the group with more oral health behavior and the other group with less oral health behavior.
3. The salivary glands were coated with dental calculus. more widely and frequently, and the group that implemented more oral health behavior was more coated with dental calculus than the other group that implemented less oral health behavior. The degree of dental calculus attachement was significantly different in both maxillar and mandibular between the two groups(p<0.05).
